Foodie Tour Itinerary 

Master Italian cooking like a local. This week is hands-on training. Eat what you make
and tour the region.

Thursday
Day 1: Leave


Friday
Day 2: Pick up from Milan Malpensa airport
Time to relax and unwind at the villa, appetizers in the evening to get to know the group.
 
Saturday
Day 3: Local village of Bedonia
Visit a local farm after breakfast, where Marco will teach you to make pizza and a typical crostata “Jam Tart” made from his homegrown wheat. After lunch we will go to the swimming hole where you can enjoy the cool river water and spend time on the stone beach sipping a nice drink purchased at the bar (not included).
 
Sunday
Day 4: Parma
After breakfast you will learn how to make risotto Emilia Romagna style. Enjoy your meal and explore the beautiful city of Parma. This gem will not disappoint.
 
Monday
Day 5: Bedonia
After our breakfast learn how to make pasta from scratch…as Maria shows you how to kneed it, pull it and savor it. You will also master the classic Torta Fritta recipe (Fried dough), served with cured meats. After which, we will tour the Castle of Compiano built in the year 840 A.D.

Tuesday
Day 6: Vigoleno /Bedonia
Breakfast is served at 8:30. Then you will be shown how to prepare Tortelli, an authentic pasta of our regione. It is stuffed with ricotta and swiss chard, then served in a butter and Parmesan cheese sauce. It tickles the taste buds and is loved by young and old.  After lunch, adventure through the medieval village of Vigoleno. This particular spot was used as the backdrop for the film “Lady Hawk”, with Rutger Hauer and Michele Pfeiffer.  
 
Wednesday
Day 7: Portofino
Early morning Breakfast and departure for the Italian Riviera. After visiting the breathtaking coastline of Portofino and Santa Margherita you will venture to make Branzino “Sea Bass”. The Italians have a special knack for baking their fish. You will feast on your masterpiece and relish a tiramisu’ for your dinner. 


Thursday
Day 8- Bedonia
Free day to roam the small town of Bedonia. It is just blocks from the villa. There are plenty of restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias, bars and quaint shops to choose from. The villa also offers outdoor seating to chat with new friends in the open air.
 
Friday
Day 9: Return home
